In April 2026, MACPAC staff presented a draft chapter on implementing community engagement (CE) requirements in Medicaid with a recommendation for monitoring and evaluating CE requirements. At this meeting, staff discussed how the recommendation and rationale were modified to reflect Commissioner input. The presentation also highlighted an update to the implications, which were revised to include an estimate of federal direct spending from the Congressional Budget Office.
