In September 2015, MACPAC commissioner Trish Riley testified on MACPAC’s behalf before the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Health Subcommittee. The hearing reviewed six bills intended to strengthen the integrity, oversight, and accountability of the Medicaid program. MACPAC’s testimony discussed challenges associated with implementing an effective and efficient Medicaid program integrity strategy, MACPAC’s program integrity recommendation in its March 2012 report, and technical comments on the proposals under consideration.
